The central Asian country took central stage at Expo 2023 Doha as it commemorated its national day on Expo grounds in the presence of esteemed guests and dignitaries. A dedicated setup was mounted in the vicinity of the Expo house to welcome delegations from the Republic of Tajikistan and their Expo 2023 counterparts on the special occasion.
Commemorations kicked off with a speech from the Commissioner General of Horticulture Expo 2023 Bader Al Dafa who extended a warm welcome to the attending delegation and commended the Republic of Tajikistan for its stellar pavilion, noting it as unique reflection of the nation’s rich and diverse culture.
A subsequent speech was delivered by His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Qurbon Hakimzoda who praised Qatar, as well as Expo 2023 Doha organisers for their world class organisation.
Thereafter, guests were transported to the pavilion, where they enjoyed a diverse selection of fresh produce specially imported from Tajikistan for the event. A range of wholesome items, including oranges and pomegranates, were proudly displayed for guests throughout the commemoration, who were encouraged to freely sample them.
The commemorations served as a clear reminder of the strong connection between Qatar and the Republic of Tajikistan, emphasising their shared dedication to prioritising the preservation of nature and sustainability in the years ahead.
