The isolated Ras Abrouq peninsula, along Qatar’s west coast near Zekreet, is a visually arresting area, with a haunting landscape of limestone rock formations sculpted into mushroom shapes by the wind. For panoramic views of the Qatari peninsula, it is possible to climb up these rock formations. The area is also noted for its unspoiled sandy beaches, wild deer reserve, and spectacular sunrises and sunsets.
