Definitions and Interpretations:
“Expo 2023 Doha” the first International Horticultural Exhibition to be held in the Middle East and North Africa region at the Al Bidda Park, Doha, Qatar on October 2, 2023, till March 28, 2024.
“Expo 2023 Doha Staff” shall mean all official staff, volunteers and third parties appointed by Expo 2023 Doha including, but not limited to, security and external emergency services.
"Terms and Conditions" means these Conditions and Rules and any other rules brought to the attention of a Visitor including on the Website.
"Force Majeure" means any cause or event beyond Expo 2023 Doha control including, without limitation, pandemic, fire, flood, earthquake, strike, lock-out, public health emergency, acts or regulations of government, national calamity or riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, act of God, explosion, war, weather any cause or event arising out of or attributable to terrorism, or any other event (whether of a similar or dissimilar nature) beyond the reasonable control of Expo 2023 Doha.
“School” means the schools in Qatar that will be arranging visits to the Expo 2023 Doha.
“Visitor” any person visiting the Expo 2023 Doha.
“Website” shall mean the Expo 2023 Doha official website located at [please insert].
1. Booking Process:
- All School visits to the Expo 2023 Doha must be booked in advance through our official website or designated booking form .
- Bookings are subject to availability, we recommend booking well in advance to secure your preferred date and time.
- A confirmation email will be sent to the contact person provided by the School upon successful booking. This confirmation email will serve as proof of booking.
2. Payment and Pricing:
- The pricing for School visits is free of charge.
3. Eligibility and Group Size:
- School visits are intended for educational institutions such as elementary, middle, and high schools in Qatar.
- The minimum and maximum group sizes for school visits is specified n our manual, which will be shared with confirmation of booking. Schools must adhere to these limits and provide guardians at the stated ratio per age group range.
4. Visit Guidelines:
- School groups must arrive at the designated meeting point at least 30 minutes before the scheduled visit time.
- All students and accompanying staff must wear appropriate identification badges provided by the organizers throughout the visit.
- School groups are expected to follow all instructions given by Expo 2023 Doha Staff.
- School groups are responsible for the behavior and safety of their students while attending the Expo 2023 Doha, at all times, including during workshops and shows.
5. Changes and Cancellations:
- Changes to the date or time of a school visit may be requested through the Ministry of Education, subject to availability, and must be made at least 14 days before the original booking date.
- In the event of cancellation by the organizers due to unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather, facility issues or force majeure a reschedule will be arranged with the school.
6. Liability and Insurance:
- Admission to the Expo Doha 2023 site, including any Expo 2023 Doha area and, is at the School group’s sole risk. Neither Doha Expo 2023, its affiliates, the Doha Expo 2023 Staff or any other person involved in the organization of the Expo 2023 Doha accept responsibility or liability for any loss, injury or damage to person sustained within the Expo 2023 Doha site, including any venues. Expo Doha 2023 does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Expo 2023 Doha.
- School arrangements including travel relating to attendance at Expo 2023 Doha which have been arranged by or on behalf of the School are at the School's own risk.
- Neither Expo 2023 Doha, its affiliates, the Expo 2023 Doha or any other person involved in the organization of the Expo 2023 Doha shall be responsible or liable to the School for any failure to perform any obligation under these Terms and Conditions to the extent that the failure is cause by an event of Force Majeure.
- Neither Expo 2023 Doha, its affiliates, the Expo 2023 Doha or any other person involved in the organization of the Expo 2023 Doha shall be responsible or liable to the School for any incidental and indirect losses or damages including, but not limited to, loss of employment, goodwill or profit and/or travel.
- Doha Expo 2023, its affiliates, the Expo 2023 Doha Staff or any other person involved in the organization of the Expo 2023 Doha shall not be liable for any breach by the Visitor of these Terms and Conditions.
- If a Visitor causes Doha Expo 2023 to incur loss, damage, costs or expense due to breach of these Terms and Conditions or otherwise, then the Visitor shall be liable to Doha Expo 2023 for this.
7. Photography and Promotion:
- Expo 2023 Doha may take photographs or videos during school visits for promotional purposes. By participating, schools grant permission for the use of these materials.
8. Compliance with Rules and Regulations:
- School groups are expected to comply with all local laws, rules, and regulations, as well as the rules and regulations set forth by the event venue.
