A delegation from the Diwan led by His Excellency Sheikh Fahd Bin Hamad bin Saud Al Thani took to Expo 2023 Doha to partake in the inauguration of the State Audit Bureau pavilion in the presence of Expo 2023 Doha Secretary General Mohamed Ali Al-Khouri and fellow Expo 2023 representatives. The opening comes against a backdrop of a growing realization that the efficient use of state resources and sustainable investments can play a big part in achieving what Qatar sees as the ultimate goal of a resilient, sustainable economy that maximises quality of life for all but also keep pace with the Qatar National Vision 2030, which has investment in the sustainable economy as one of its main pillars.
On the heel of the opening, Diwan delegations and esteemed guests were ferried to the Qatar Pavilion where they toured different sections of the exhibit and witnessed first-hand a raft of innovations in the field of sustainability, water treatment and waste management. Commenting on this occasion, Expo 2023 Doha Secretary General Mohamed Ali Al-Khouri said: We recognize that sustainable investments is an approach that seeks to generate financial returns while also having a positive impact on the environment, society, and corporate governance in Qatar. It is by the collective effort of state entities that we will be able to achieve our sustainable targets.
