South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol inaugurates Korean pavilion at Expo 2023 Doha
The visit included a tour of the Qatar pavilion and the latest innovations.
The President of the Republic of Korea HE Yoon Suk Yeol visited Expo 2023 Doha and was introduced to the most important facilities and events offered by the Expo.
His Excellency was accompanied by the Minister of Municipality and Chairman of the Expo 2023 Doha Committee H E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, as well as a number of Korean ministers and senior officials.
His Excellency inaugurated the Korean Pavilion at the Expo, where he experienced innovative agricultural methods as well as advanced technology showcase. During his visit, His Excellency planted a Sidra tree and symbolising perennial plant life in Qatar and learned of its profound historical and environmental importance.
The visit also included a tour of the Qatar pavilion during which HE explored Qatar’s latest initiatives and innovations in agriculture, horticulture, and environmental preservation.
Minister of Municipality and Chairman of the Expo 2023 Doha Committee H E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, remarked: “The inauguration of the Korean Pavilion signifies the strong ties between Qatar and South Korea and reflects the shared vision of both nations towards innovation, sustainability, and cultural exchange. At Expo 2023 Doha, we are reminded of the global community's collective efforts in shaping a greener and more sustainable future. We are delighted to have the Republic of Korea as a significant part of this global event."
