The commencement of the third Smart City Expo Doha 2023, overseen by the Ministry of Communication and Technology, marked a significant milestone in the advancement of sustainable urban development.
Taking place at the Expo 2023 Doha’s Congress Center, the Smart City Expo Doha 2023 is set to showcase Qatar's unwavering commitment to fostering smart, sustainable urban spaces under the esteemed patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
This prominent event assembled key dignitaries like the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, His Excellency Sheikh Dr Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani, and the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, His Excellency Mohammed bin Ali bin Mohammed Al Mannai. Their presence underscored Qatar's efforts to integrate technology into the fabric of urban planning.
Over the course of two days, more than 70 esteemed speakers, representing both local and international perspectives, will address an audience drawn from over 60 countries.
Its theme, “A World of Data, Connecting People, Elevating Lives,” adeptly encapsulates Expo 2023 Doha's dedication to harnessing data and technology to craft urban environments that are not only more intelligent and sustainable but also more enriching for their inhabitants.
The first day of the event set a high bar with engaging discussions on topics like digital infrastructure, smart mobility solutions, and the transformative impact of AI in urban settings. Esteemed contributors, including Safder Nazir, Senior Vice President - Digital Industries of Huawei Technologies and Alessio Bagnaresi, Director AI & Advanced Analytics of Google Cloud EMEA, provided valuable insights into the dynamic role of advanced technologies in reshaping urban landscapes.
