Qatar Charity and Expo 2023 Doha have entered a collaborative agreement, designating Qatar Charity as a charitable partner for Expo 2023 Doha. This partnership facilitates diverse donation methods within Expo 2023 Doha to fund humanitarian projects in the environmental sector. The agreement, signed by Ahmad Yousef Fakhroo, the CEO’s assistant at Qatar Charity, and Expo 2023 Doha’s Secretary General, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Ali Al Khoori, highlights Qatar and Expo 2023 Doha’s commitment to humanitarian efforts.
Mr. Fakhroo emphasized that the accord allows Qatar Charity to tackle an environmental initiative aligned with Expo 2023 Doha’s theme, “Green Desert, Better Environment.” The chosen project, “Seawater Desalination in Somalia”, aims to address water challenges by providing a sustainable source of fresh, clean water. This project is aimed at providing humanitarian aid and reducing the hardships of people who lack access to clean water.
Throughout Expo 2023 Doha, Qatar Charity offers multiple donation channels, including fixed allocation boxes and payment machines, with a QR code displayed on screens to promote the project. Mr. Mohammed Ali Al-Khoori expressed optimism and pride in this partnership, stating that this collaboration would significantly contribute to Expo 2023 Doha and Qatar Charity’s commendable humanitarian work.
