Coinciding with the conclusion of national day celebrations at Expo 2023 Doha, The Himalayan country’s delegation led by Nepal's Ambassador to Qatar, Dr Naresh Bikram Dhakal, took to Expo 2023 Doha to partake in its national day celebration in the presence of Expo 2023 Doha representatives helmed by Deputy Secretary General of Doha Expo, Mohammad Al Saad.
Attracting more than 500 guests, the launch of the ceremony saw an outdoor flag raising ritual accompanied by respective national anthems taking place on a custom-built theatre purposely built for the occasion. The stage also served as a platform where inspired speeches were delivered by both the Nepalese Ambassador to Qatar and the Deputy Secretary General of Doha Expo. Commenting on the occasion, The Nepalese Ambassador to Qatar stated that this celebration was crucial for Nepal’s continuous effort to amplify its calls for greater investments and the pursuit of trade agreements in the sector of Agriculture. He then added that event played a crucial role in bringing the Qatari government on board as a long-term development partner of Nepal. The Ambassador concluded with a detailed briefing on Nepal's geographic particularity and natural heritages.
Widely known for its towering Himalayan peaks, the pavilion of the republic of Nepal was modelled in a bid to reflect its millennia-old culture and time-honoured agricultural practices which have proven to withstand the test of time and harshest weather conditions.
