Expo 2023 Doha Celebrates the National Day of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria
Expo 2023 Doha recently marked the Algerian National Day in the esteemed presence of His Excellency, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, His Excellency Algerian Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Youcef Cherfa, His Excellency, Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to Qatar, Salah Attia, and His Excellency, the Expo 2023 Doha Commissioner General, Ambassador Bader bin Omar Al Dafa. The national day festivities featured cultural and artistic activities which highlighted Algeria’s rich heritage and history.
During the commencement speech, His Excellency, Minister Youcef Cherfa commended Qatar's efforts in hosting the exhibition, emphasizing the strong bilateral relations between the two countries.
Attendees were treated to a tour of the Algerian pavilion, which has been a valuable addition to Expo 2023 Doha, were they gained insight on Algeria’s sustainability plan, agricultural heritage, and innovative approaches to combat desertification and address climate change – highlighting Algeria's commitment to environmental preservation and renewable energy initiatives, underscoring its expertise in agriculture, environment, and sustainability. Attendees also explored the Algerian pavilion's exhibits, including traditional tents, artisanal crafts, and high-quality agricultural products.
The Algerian national day celebration fostered a sense of unity and cultural appreciation, which merged seamlessly with the foundations of Expo 2023 Doha and was a testament of Qatar and Tunisia’s commitment to a greener and better world.
