Education Above All (EAA) Foundation: Education Drives Climate Action at Expo 2023 Doha
The Education Above All (EAA) Foundation Pavilion has been designed by award-winning Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid, who made history as the first woman to receive the RIBA Gold Medal and is renowned for her groundbreaking designs – arguably the most famous female architect of her time.
The impressive pavilion, designed with environmental sustainability in mind, will eventually transform into a school and community space within a refugee camp. This environmentally conscious pavilion serves as a testament to its commitment to ensure equal access to education and to harness the power of quality education for positive, sustainable, and inclusive change.
The collaboration between Expo 2023 Doha and EAA underscores a mutual commitment to shaping the future and aspiring youth to take action and to become global leaders and agents of positive, sustainable change.
Visitors at the pavilion will gain a deeper understanding of the Foundation’s guiding principles, impact, and initiatives by watching a documentary that provides an in-depth look at the inspiration, design, and prospective use of the pavilion.
The Education Above All (EAA) Foundation ensures inclusive and equitable quality education for vulnerable and marginalized people especially in the developing world in the pursuit of human development.
Through its principal initiatives, EAA is committed to ensuring accessible education, recognising it as a universal right – quality accessible education for every child, irrespective of their race, gender, or religion. The foundation's unwavering dedication extends to reaching children and young people in the world's most arduous regions, where it recognises the paramount importance of education.
