During Expo 2023 Doha's participation in the Amir Cup as a strategic partner, Doha was illuminated in Expo colours marking the countdown to Qatar's biggest event of the year.
The city's iconic landmarks were illuminated with Expo colours including Al Fardan Tower, The View Hospital, "The Eighteen," Al Jaber towers as well as the screen in Museum of Islamic Art screen, marking the 5-month countdown until the launch of the first the first A1 International Horticultural Exhibition to be held in the Middle East and North Africa.
Running for 179 days from October 2, 2023, till March 28, 2024, Expo 2023 Doha will draw international visitors and organizers from 80 countries across the globe. The theme of Expo 2023 Doha is "Green Desert, Better Environment" as it aims to highlight the latest sustainable innovations in the field of agriculture and horticulture and propose solutions to address desertification, which is one of the most important challenges facing the world in general and the region in particular.
