Azerbaijan National Day at Expo 2023 Doha

At Expo 2023 Doha, Azerbaijan's National Day served as a platform for highlighting the country's cultural richness and sustainability efforts. The Minister of Culture, His Excellency Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, His Excellency State Minister and President of Qatar National Library Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari, His Excellency, Anar Alakbarov, Assistant to the Azerbaijan President, and His Excellency Mr. Adil Karimli, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan were welcomed to the ceremony by the Secretary General of Expo 2023 Doha, His Excellency, Mohammed Ali Al-Khoori, and the Commissioner General of Expo 2023 Doha ,His Excellency Bader Omar Al-Dafa.

The celebrations featured a musical performance with concert program which will run for the rest of the week, in collaboration with Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture, showcasing the nation's cultural heritage.Guests were invited to explore Azerbaijan's natural beauty at their pavilion, where displays of flora reflected the country's diverse climatic regions – the Kharibulbul flower had visitors marvelling in awe at its exceptional beauty.

Inside the pavilion, visitors had the opportunity to delve into Azerbaijan’s sustainability plan, which aims to propel them towards a greener, healthier future. From renewable energy initiatives to eco-friendly practices in agriculture and urban development, the pavilion highlighted the nation's efforts to preserve its natural resources and mitigate environmental impact.

With Azerbaijan slated to host COP29, the event underscored the nation's dedication to environmental sustainability, eco-consciousness, and economic diversification. Azerbaijan’s commitment towards sustainability contributes to Expo 2023 Doha’s dialogue revolving around sustainable developments, international collaboration, and unity.
